How many types of artificial nails are there?
The beauty of these amazing nails makes them a popular choice, especially in the wedding season. They can be made from gel, acrylic or silk. Let’s take a quick glance at the different types of faux nails:
An acrylic mix is applied to the nails. Exposure to air results in the hardening of the material. As the acrylic grows with your nails, the beauty technician will fill in the empty space between the acrylic nail and the nail bed with the mix.
The consistency of a nail gel is much like nail polish. You can brush it onto the nails or apply nail appliques to extend the length of your nails.
As the name suggests, these nails are fabric wraps that not only strengthen your nails but also help as a support for cracked nails till they grow out.
These are convenient and easy to use. All you need to do is glue them on.
3.Soak your nails to make the fake nails stay on longer.
4.Give your nails a proper filing and trimming. Avoid cutting too deep or your fake nails will have less surface to hold on to.
5.Push your cuticles back with an orange stick while the bed is soft from the soaking.
6.Give your nails a gentle buff to make it easier for the nails to stick.
Now we are ready to begin!
Step one - Lay out your artificial nails in perfect order to not mix them up later. Before you glue them on, make sure that the nails fit perfectly on your fingers.
Step two - Dab a bit of glue on the area of the fake nail that you will be sticking to your nail. Dab a bit of it on your real nail as well. Now carefully position the artificial nail over your nail to align the bottom curve with the cuticle. Hold in place for 10-20 seconds till it sets.
Step three - Repeat the process with the other nails. If your nails are blank, you can now apply a coat of your favourite nail varnish. And voila! You are the proud owner of beautifully manicured, best artificial nails!
