Simran Sukhnani
Did you think glycerin is only used as a moisturizer? It’s time to re-think! Glycerin is surely a great humectant, but did you know that it works perfectly as an exfoliant as well? Surprising, am I right?

We’ve all experienced acne sometime in our lives. We always dread those red itchy bumps that pop up right before a big day! And for acne-prone skin types, well, the story becomes a little more daunting. So we ran our carts and did the research, so you don’t have to! Get ready to say hello to clear, bright, glowing skin with the wonderful magic potion we’re gonna be talking about today, glycerin!
Is glycerin good for acne?

A 100% yes. Glycerin for acne is a great match! It is rich in exfoliating properties. When applied directly onto the skin, it helps slough off the layer of dead skin cells, dirt and impurities. Once these are kicked off, you will instantly experience a smooth texture while looking radiant. These dead skin cells often contribute to the clogging of pores and in turn, cause acne and/or blackheads. With glycerin as your everyday skincare partner, this worry is out the window!
Glycerin for acne prone skin

Acne prone skin is usually super oily around the T-zone and sensitive on the cheek areas. With constant exposure to impurities and pollution, this oil traps the oil particles and forms pimples. Glycerin is an ingredient that’s charged with sugars and alcohol organic compounds. This outstanding ability makes glycerin for face acne a perfect fit. It often doubles up as a makeup remover and an amazing cleanser. It instantly removes the excess oil and also helps in preventing sebum production!
