If you’ve landed on the article, it is safe to assume that you are looking for ways to color your hair naturally at home. You can use all the hair coloring products available in the market, which now do the job in 30 minutes, but with these hair colors, the problem isn’t with the color but with the chemicals inside them. These chemicals may cause dryness, itching, flaking, hair fall, dandruff, and more problems. This is why it is necessary to choose your hair color wisely. Not only would your hair color stay around for a while, but it will also have long-term hair quality as well as quantity repercussions even after it goes. If you do go for artificial hair color, you should only choose from the best. Here are some great hair colors you can choose from.

If you have chosen a hair color, pair it with L'Oreal Paris Color Protect Shampoo (Or any other) and conditioner to ensure your color doesn’t fade quickly. You should also invest in hair nourishing masks

However, it doesn’t go without saying that even with the best hair colors, you would still notice some discomfort and disbalance in your healthy scalp’s acidity PH. This is why we understand if you need a natural hair color. Natural hair colors are made using products that don’t just color but can help you strengthen your hair from all the damage it has endured. We have lots of great natural hair colors available at the Purplle store. Using these, you can color your hair naturally with 100% safety and zero chemical assurance from the comfort of your own home.

However, for this article, let us stick to how you can make your hair color naturally so that we don’t want just to color hair but also strengthen it. How to color hair naturally, if that’s your question, then what you are essentially asking for is how to make natural hair dye at home.

Here is some DIY natural hair color at home:

Chocolate

What a delicious start to our list, won’t you agree! This recommendation is unique, and you should use dark brown chocolate or cocoa powder for the same. Boil it in skimmed milk and leave it to cool. However, make sure not to burn the powder or solution too much because, upon cooling, we mix it with eggs and coffee beans and boil the pot again. When it cools for a third time, you apply it to your hair and leave for 45 minutes. Wash gently with cold water. Never HOT water on your SCALP!

You should be able to notice a darker brown tone on your hair. For those with blonde or platinum hair color, this can also create beautiful subtle burgundy cherry tones.

Carrot Juice

The product is a healthy bowl of carrot juice. Carrots are rich in vitamin A and E, which means that your hair will look shiny and smoother when you leave this mess on for as long as 45 minutes. However, you will not see the results immediately. Carrot juice is high on the juice, which means that the minute you wash your head, you also clean the color. A lot of the ingredients that your scalp wasn’t able to soak would just wash right off. So, you have to apply this mask at least two to three times a month to start noticing a faint Orange shade in your hair.

How to dye hair naturally at home?

Mix carrot juice in argan oil, and then apply it to your hair using a hairbrush. Let it sit on your head for at least 45 minutes, and when you rinse, do not use harsh shampoo because that would just wash everything right off, and you don’t want it!

Beet juice hair mask

Here is a great vegetable to consume even! However, for this particular hair color mask, you have to powder the beetroots into fine pieces, then blend it to make a juice, which is then mixed with a carrier oil like olive oil and then similarly applied on your hair like that of carrot juice. However, you would probably not get an orange highlight like the hues with your carrot juice hair color, but, on the contrary, your beetroot hair color gives you a much darker red tone, almost bordering on pop neon. This is why a lot of people prefer this method over carrot juice.

Lemon juice

Prolonged use of lemon juice on your hair can give you naturally blonde hair. Did you know that lemon is a natural bleach? Yes, it’s true, but it takes a lot of months if you apply lemon juice on your scalp; not only are you getting rid of all the microbes that may be harming your scalp, but you are also providing your hair with much-needed nourishment.

Chamomile Tea

Not only is the pleasant soothing Chamomile tea great for a drink, but it’s also good for your hair. You can take a few chamomile leaves or flowers, depending on what’s available. They both work the same for our color and once the soup cools off, apply it to your hair. Leave it to stiffen and then wash off. You would have to repeat this process 10-20 times to notice any distinguishable changes.

Another way of using chamomile for your hair is by using it with a hibiscus hair mask. Hibiscus is known to have multiple benefits for the hair and skin. This mask can help you.

Coffee

We are not fans of using coffee for hair because coffee leaves your hair dry and harder! Just kidding! Coffee is pure genius, be it a hot coffee, Eskimo, or hair mask. Grate a few coffee beans, preferably unroasted robusta beans, and boil them in some milk. When you reach a thick paste, take your utensil off the stove.

Let it cool. You should be able to enjoy the particular aroma we have come to associate with cafè. Apply this mixture to your hair, leave it on for some good 45 minutes, and then wash it off. If hair fall or premature greying is a problem, you will start noticing black-ish undertones right from the first shot! However, you can also introduce eggs and oils to the mix to make the process overall better.

Henna

The ancient recipe of coloring your hair and skin works wonderfully. It is probably the most long-lasting among all the ones that have been mentioned in this article yet. Moreover, the powder is simple to use. You take a packet of henna, mix it with some water, and if you want to enrich your hair further, you can put in items like Brahmi, Shikakai, Amla, hibiscus, and Bhringraj, neem, etc. You have to apply this dense mixture on your hair and leave it for 2-3 hours to see the best results, and you can make white hair look red, and if your hair is black or you’re a brunette, then you will find more brownish tones.

So, if you are looking at ways to make natural colors at home, you could start with some herbs and edibles like the ones mentioned above. Keep in mind that the dominant hair color will also impact how quickly you will see the results. If you can’t wait for long and need instant results, you should go for a semi-permanent hair color, which causes less damage than permanent hair colors and lasts for a lesser time, 3-6 months. You would still need to oil and nurture your scalp because semi-permanent, too, carry harmful chemicals.
