- Take 1 cup spinach leaves, 1 tbsp of honey, and 1 tbsp of any carrier oil (coconut, olive or castor).
- Put these in a blender and mix until you get a smooth consistent paste.
- Apply these in your hair by sectioning some strands and making sure to massage it well on your scalp.
- Once your scalp and strands are covered, wrap your hair in plastic or cloth and leave it on for 30 minutes.
- Wash it with lukewarm water and use a mild sulfate-free shampoo for best results.
2. Spinach Oil:

Oil massages are a well known traditional method to ensure hair growth. It works because an oil massage can boost blood circulation to the scalp and rejuvenate hair follicles prompting growth. So using a spinach oil once a week can aid hair growth, unclog hair pores and regulate oil production in them to make sure you get silky, smooth hair. It boosts scalp health while conditioning your hair and tackling issues like dryness and frizziness. This is how you make it:
- Take ½ a cup of spinach and blend it thoroughly.
- Then, using a cheesecloth separate the pulp from the juice.
- Mix the pulp with the oil of your choice like coconut, olive or castor oil. If you have oily hair go for lightweight oil options like jojoba oil or argan oil.
- Heat this mixture so that the oil separates from the rest of the mix and apply this oil on your head, either when hot or once it has cooled down.
- Massage for 15 minutes and leave it on for 45 minutes or overnight and then wash regularly.
3. Spinach Smoothie:

A lot of us don’t like consuming spinach raw or when it is made at home. So despite knowing that you must eat your greens, we let it pass. But with this smoothie, it will be easy to eat spinach and take advantage of all its health benefits. This smoothie will also ensure that your hair remains healthy from roots to tip and help them to grow out strong and healthy. Here is how you can make this:
- Chop 1 cup of papaya, 1 large banana and add it to a blender.
- To this, add 1 cup of any milk and 1 cup of spinach and blend this mixture very well. If you feel the mix is too thick add some more milk and drizzle some honey for extra sweetness.
- Have this every morning with breakfast for a healthy body and strong, lustrous hair.
