Good Sunscreen but does not match the price
Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 - Very high protection for sensitive skin, it provides an effective protection against all sun radiation (short and long UVB-UVA). Also the sunscreen is water resistant. The most suitable skin type for the sunscreen is dry sensitive skin. How To Use? Apply the sunscreen evenly to the skin before any exposure to the sun. Re-apply frequently. Avoid contact with eyes. Ingredients: One of the major ingredient in Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50 are Avene Thermal Spring Water. A sunscreen is an important part of a skin regime irrespective of the season. Hence I experiment with sunscreens according to my skin type. I have dry skin hence I decided to go for Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF 50. According to my little research on SPF, SPF 50 is good for the Indian climate. After washing my face I applied the sunscreen (30 mins prior my exposure to sunlight). The sunscreen left a white chalky surface on my skin. The white chalky surface did not go away easily until I rubbed my face a little hard. It will be a havock for people who sweat a lot as the sunscreen will leave behind the white chalky coloured residue which will go only after you wash your face. :'(. A little while after applying the sunscreen my skin started to itch a lot. I didn't wash my face as the itching stopped eventually. The highlight for me in the sunscreen was my skin didn't sweat after I applied it. As, once I apply any sunscreen I start sweating a lot (Sweating doesn't happen with gel based sunscreen). PROS: You will not sweat after applying the Avene sunscreen Your face will feel very light CONS: Leaves a chalky surface on your face Might give you an itching sensation. Before applying sunscreen it is always best to wash your face and towel dry it, you can also team it up with any moisturizer. In the past I have used Lotus Herbals sunscreen. According to me, I would prefer a Lotus Herbals sunscreen over Avene. Lotus Herbals has gel based sunscreen, does not itch my skin or leave a white residue. On the whole it is a decent products but is definitely over priced!
