Summers are here! The scorching heat of the sun is here again to tan our skin and affect it in various ways. Our skin changes with the weather. Thus, in summers we experience certain changes in our skin. Well, to protect our skin from excessive heat and humidity, we need summer skin care. 

In summers, it is essential to protect our skin from rashes, sunburns, tanning, acne, etc. For this, we need to level up our skincare game. As the summer approaches, the environment becomes humid. This is when our skin sebaceous glands start producing sebum. This sebum production in the skin leads to stickiness, clogged pores, acne, etc. 

You might have seen that in summers everybody’s common skin woe is acne. This is all associated with sebum. People with oily skin have a hard time during summers. When sebum gets mixed with sweat, greasy skin is bound to happen.

In summers, oily skin is prevalent. No matter whether you have dry skin or sensitive skin; you will always feel some greasiness. To avoid such a situation, you must wash your face twice a day with a sulfate-free face wash. Face washes are necessary to remove excess oil from the face. It cleanses your skin deeply, thereby removing all the dust and grime. If you have dry skin, use a mild foaming cleanser. For people with oily skin, look for ingredients like charcoal, coffee, etc. 


2. Choice of Products 

There are a lot of products that we use like moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation, concealer, etc. To use all these products, it is essential to know one’s skin type. A good skincare routine includes using the best products. For instance, if you have dry skin, you must use gel-based products. Similarly, if you have oily skin, you must use water-based products. Cream-based products are no good! Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing will help you in having clear and fresh skin.

Use a face scrub to exfoliate your skin. Do it twice a week to remove all the skin impurities. Also, remember that before going out always wear sunscreen. Sunscreen is a shield that protects us from UV rays and the negative effects it causes. Go for SPF 30 or 50 to guard your skin.

4. Papaya 

Papaya is a mild exfoliator that removes excess oil and dirt from your skin. it gives you glowing and soft skin. All you need to do is take freshly mashed papaya and add some fuller’s earth and sandalwood to it. Apply this mask to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash it off with water afterward.
