Glitter & Shine

The most appropriate look for any kind of party, and especially a new year party look. Gold and Silver glitter on the eyelid just with a eyeshadow blending brush, paired with a nice wine colored lip can make for a perfect look with any kind of outfit. Either the basic gold and silver, or opt for the metallic eyeshadow look on the eyelid which looks super cool and popping and takes just a few seconds to wear. The Party won’t need disco lights, because your glitter eyes will do the job ;) 

Coloured liner 

Playing with colours has become a huge trend recently. Warm and nude makeup looks can get monotonous, so let’s get around adding a pop of colour to our look. The right way to go around this is to do the usual shadow and lip shade that you do, but play around with the liner. Red Lips

You can never go wrong with the classic Red lip no matter what. Make sure to keep your base fresh and dewy, a clean, nude eyeshadow and the drama should be focused on the lips. Find a perfect shade of red lipstick that you're comfortable in, so you can pull it off all night. Also, use a similar colour lipliner to line your lips, before wearing the lipstick.

Hack: Pat some loose powder on to your lip after you're done wearing your lip shade so that it stays on longer, even after eating, drinking and dancing the night away. 

Complements & Contrasts

Complementing and contrasting colours are just about understanding the basic colour theory. Complementing colours are two colours opposite each other to the colour wheel and contrasting colours are when two different colours that have different tints and shades are used together to create  a beautiful contrast, like shown below. 

For example: if you're wearing a blue outfit, complement it with a pink shade of lip colour. If you’re wearing a pink outfit, a contrasting colour to that would be tints and shades of orange.
