Skin Care Tips For College Diva

Who said that college is the most stress free time of your life? With exams, socialising and selfies, that just isn’t the case any more. As college diva, you always need to look flawless. It is all about the likes after all isn’t it? Looking flawless though is a full time commitment and comes with a well followed skincare routine. So here’s a quick cheat sheet for that perfectly flawless skincare routine, every college diva needs.

Morning Routine:

  1. Wash Your Face: This will take away any sweat and oil that has built up over the night. It will also wake you up a bit more as well as give you a shine-free face for the morning.

  2. Apply lip balm: This is important especially if you have chapped lips

  3. Put on a bit of hand cream. If you have dry skin on your hands, put some hand cream on in the morning.

  4. After cleansing, moisturize: For college goers, this is something that can help you have beautiful skin if done right, or give you loads of acne if done wrong.

  5. Apply the lotions: If your legs are dry from shaving them, moisturize them. The moisturizer you buy for your legs doesn't matter.

Skin Care Routine for The Day:

  1. Eat a good breakfast: Believe it or not, treating your skin right in the morning is also about your diet! Start the day with berries. Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries all contain vitamins C and E, which are terrific for your skin.

  2. Resist the temptation to touch your face: This is a very important step. You can transfer countless bacteria from your hands to your face just by simply touching it.

  3. Keep a facial wipes handy: Choose a facial spray with hydrating ingredients, this keeps your skin supple & moisturized.

Skin Care Routine For The Night:

  1. Facial Cleanse:  Wash your face and neck thoroughly with warm water and the cleanser or face wash

  2. Lip Care:  Apply a lip balm to soften and heal chapped lips.

  3. Moisturizer: Use a quality moisturizer that will not irritate the skin. An all natural organic moisturizer is a good choice because they do not contain any chemicals or harsh additives.

Weekly Skin Care Routine:

  • Exfoliate your skin once a week: Exfoliation does not need to be done every day, as this can make your skin irritated and raw over time. Instead, aim to exfoliate your skin once every 1-2 weeks to remove dead skin and soften it up.

  • Use a face mask once every 2-4 weeks:  Face masks do a few things (depending on the one that you're using). They work to remove toxins in your skin, clear out your pores, and get rid of dead skin cells and grime.

Here are some handy skin care tips:

  • Drink loads of water: Water is an important component of the human body. It hydrates the whole body and improves skin cell development that signifies a healthy skin.

  • Avoid eating pizza and opt for salads: Even though eating a pizza, fatty foods and chocolate may not cause acne directly, having them every day is not good for healthy skin and also healthy body.

  • Use sunscreen, it’s not optional: Skin protection from the harmful sun’s rays is very important. So, it is essential to apply sunscreen before stepping out in the sun.

  • Clean the mobile phone: It is found that cell phone is a breeding area for bacteria that increase when it is repeatedly held up against the skin especially for long periods.
